Notes and version constraints

  • On Raspberry Pi, the resolution must be set manually in config.txt; otherwise the display may show an incorrect resolution.
  • Input current below 800 mA can cause start-up failure or display anomalies; prolonged abnormal operation may permanently damage the device.
  • Input voltage outside the 4.75–5.25 V range can cause permanent damage.
  • If USB power is insufficient the display flickers; connect an external 5V 1A adapter to the power port.
  • EDID sequence parameters are only needed if the host does not auto-detect EDID; otherwise no manual timing setup is required.
  • PWM backlight control requires removing a soldered resistor and wiring the lower pad to Raspberry Pi pin P1 – this step needs soldering/hardware knowledge.
  • Some PCs only recognize the HDMI device properly after a reboot.
  • Avoid long-term storage in high temperature and humidity to prevent display damage.
