Technical overview

  • The display uses a 9.3-inch IPS panel with a native resolution of 1600×600 pixels and a viewing angle of 178°.
  • Brightness is up to 800 cd/m² with a contrast ratio of 1200:1 and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
  • Power is supplied via a 5V Type-C connector; standard input current is 850 mA (minimum 800 mA).
  • When using Raspberry Pi, the resolution must be manually set in config.txt because the system does not auto-detect it.
  • On Windows, connect via USB (touch) and HDMI (display); some PCs require a reboot for plug-and-play functionality.
  • Brightness can be adjusted on Linux via DDC/CI (e.g., ddcutil) or on Windows via software such as Twinkle Tray.
  • The device supports a multi-language OSD menu for power control and brightness/contrast adjustment.

Commands and examples – verify before use:

hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=87
hdmi_cvt 1600 600 60 6 0 0 0
sudo apt-get install ddcutil -y
sudo ddcutil detect
sudo ddcutil setvcp 10 <value>

Notes and version constraints

  • Input voltage exceeding the maximum value of 5.25 V or improper operation may cause permanent damage to the device.
  • Input current below 800 mA can lead to start-up failure or abnormal display; prolonged time in an abnormal state may permanently damage the display.
  • Avoid long-term storage in high-temperature and high-humidity environments; operation must remain within specified limits.
  • Some PCs may only recognize the HDMI connection after a system reboot.
  • Insufficient USB power supply causes flickering; connecting an external 5V 1A adapter to the Power port resolves this.
  • PWM backlight adjustment requires removing a resistor and soldering external connections – please have a professional verify before proceeding.
