Technical overview

  • Input voltage: 4–6 V; no-load current about 150 mA at 6 V; locked-rotor current 1.0 A
  • Rotation angle 300° corresponds to position values 0–1023; position sensor resolution 0.293° (300°/1024)
  • Locked-rotor torque up to 2.3 kg·cm at 6 V; high-precision metal gears
  • Serial bus interface: baud rates from 38400 bps to 1 Mbit/s; ID range 0–253
  • Two-way feedback: position, load, speed and input voltage can be read per servo
  • Switchable operating mode: servo mode for absolute angle control or motor mode for continuous rotation; settings are stored persistently in EPROM
  • Dimensions: 23.2 × 12.0 × 25.5 mm; compact form factor suitable for robotic arms, hexapods, humanoid robots and wheeled robots
  • Series operation: Up to 253 servos can be controlled simultaneously, provided the power supply is adequate

Commands and examples – verify before use:

#include <SCServo.h>
sc.unLockEprom(ID_ChangeFrom); sc.writeByte(ID_ChangeFrom, SCSCL_ID, ID_Changeto); sc.LockEprom(ID_Changeto);
int ID = sc.Ping(TEST_ID);
sc.ReadPosition(1); sc.ReadTemperature(1); sc.ReadSpeed(1); sc.ReadLoad(1); sc.ReadMove(1);

Notes and version constraints

  • The source contains template placeholders such as {{{name2}}} through {{{userDefinedInfo}}}, indicating an incomplete template; these fields were ignored
  • The description mentions ST3215 and ST series in several places although the product is named SC09; possible confusion between models needs clarification
  • Default scan ID range at boot is 0–20; higher IDs require changing MAX_ID in ServoDriverST.ino and re-uploading
  • ESP-NOW communication requires entering the slave's MAC address into broadcastAddress[]; remote control will not work without the correct address
  • Oversized mounting screws must not touch the servo body, as contact increases current spikes and can burn out the servo
  • Changes in the memory area require unlocking the EPROM region first, otherwise settings are lost after power loss
