Summary

The 21.5-inch capacitive touch monitor provides a native 1920×1080 resolution via a standard HDMI port and is powered by a 12 V/3 A supply. It is suitable for use with Raspberry Pi (including Raspberry Pi OS, Ubuntu, Kali, Retropie), Jetson Nano (Ubuntu), and as a PC monitor under Windows 7–11.

Technical overview

  • IPS panel with 1920×1080 hardware resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate.
  • 10-point capacitive touch on toughened glass rated up to 6H hardness; optically bonded glass panel.
  • Operating temperature range: −5 °C to +60 °C; storage temperature: −10 °C to +70 °C.
  • Default brightness 350 cd/m², contrast ratio 1000:1, color gamut 72 % NTSC.
  • Input current must be at least 3 A; insufficient power can cause startup failure or permanent damage if prolonged.
  • EDID timing parameters are predefined (pixel clock 148.50 MHz, H/V addressable 1920/1080, blanking 280/45, front porch 88/44, sync width 4/5).
  • When using Raspberry Pi, the resolution must be set manually in config.txt; the guide lists specific lines such as hdmi_force_hotplug=1, hdmi_group=2, hdmi_mode=87, hdmi_timings=…, and config_hdmi_boost=10.
  • To rotate the display on Bullseye/Buster: add display_rotate=1/2/3 to /boot/config.txt, then restart with sudo reboot.
  • Touch rotation requires installing libinput or synaptics depending on the system; the calibration matrix is added to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/40-libinput.conf.
  • To switch the screen off/on, use the commands vcgencmd display_power 0 and vcgencmd display_power 1.

Notes and version constraints

  • The exact firmware/software version and operating system determine which steps are actually required; consult the relevant documentation before modifying the system.
  • If the power supply is below 3 A, startup failures or permanent damage may occur – always use the matching 12 V/3 A adapter.
  • Storing the display in high-temperature/high-humidity conditions for extended periods can damage it; stay within the specified limits.
  • Some PCs do not support HDMI plug-and-play; a system reboot may be necessary.
  • Rotation steps apply only to certain distributions (e.g., Bullseye/Buster); other systems require different procedures.
