Technical overview

  • Base module: Jetson Nano with 4 GB LPDDR4 (1600 MHz), 128 CUDA cores (Maxwell architecture), and 0.5 TFLOPS compute performance.
  • Storage: 16 GB eMMC 5.1 flash on the carrier board; plus a TF card slot for expansion.
  • Lite carrier board interfaces: 2× USB 2.0, 1× USB 3.2 Gen1, HDMI, USB Type-C (5 V/3 A), Gigabit Ethernet, MIPI CSI camera connector, M.2 Key E (wireless network adapter only, no SSD support).
  • Added controls: PWR BTN (power on/off) and SYS RST (system reset) directly on the Lite board.
  • Compatibility: The Lite carrier board is appearance- and function-compatible with the official Jetson Nano 2GB Developer Kit, but uses the 4 GB core module.
  • Video processing: encoding up to 250 MP/s (e.g., 1× 4K@30 HEVC), decoding up to 500 MP/s (e.g., 4× 1080p@60 HEVC).
  • Camera connection: 12-channel MIPI CSI-2 D-PHY 1.1 (18 Gbps), reduced to one connector on the Lite board.
  • Operating temperature range of the kit: 0–70 °C.

Notes and version constraints

  • The source file contains placeholders such as {{{name4}}} and {{{userDefinedInfo}}}; these were ignored.
  • To use SPI and PWM, the system must be reprogrammed (device-tree modification required).
  • The M.2 Key E connector supports NGFF wireless adapters only, not SSDs.
  • The JETSON-IO-BASE-A board is not fully compatible with the A02 core module version, only with the official B01 variant.
  • When using a TF card image, the eMMC image version must match the Jetpack version on the TF card; versions below Jetpack 4.6 require reinstallation.
  • More detailed compatibility information for other core modules or add-on cards is not provided in the source and should be confirmed with support before purchase.
