Technical overview
- The display is a universal 5.5-inch HDMI IPS panel with a hardware resolution of 1440×2560 and a fully bonded capacitive touch panel featuring toughened glass (6H hardness).
- Connection uses an HDMI interface for the video signal and a USB port for the touch input device; a 3.5mm jack and a 4-pin header are provided for audio output.
- The screen defaults to portrait orientation. Landscape mode is enabled by modifying the software settings.
- Under Raspberry Pi OS, the resolution must be set manually to prevent abnormal display behavior. Configuration is done via the config.txt file located in the root directory of the SD card.
- For older systems like Stretch or Jessie, rotation is controlled via display_rotate in config.txt; newer systems use cmdline.txt or udev rules and X11 calibration matrices for touch rotation.
- Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm and later versions include Squeekboard on-screen keyboard by default, which appears automatically when the touch display is connected.

Notes and version constraints
- The exact command line for video configuration contains a placeholder value (400x1280) that must be adjusted to match the actual resolution.
- Certain PC models require a restart to display properly.
- When using multiple monitors simultaneously, the touch effect applies only to the main screen by default; assigning it to a secondary screen requires additional steps.
- PWM backlight adjustment requires a hardware modification on the board.
- Some settings are version-sensitive: older operating systems require different drivers or configuration files than newer versions.
