Technical overview

  • The panel is 7 inches with a resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels; the viewing angle is 170°.
  • The IPS version covers 45% NTSC and the QLED version covers 78% NTSC; brightness is 350 cd/m² and contrast is 800:1.
  • Color depth is 16.7 million colors and the refresh rate is 60 Hz.
  • Connection uses a 40-pin 0.5 mm FPC connector that combines power, display signals, touch, CEC, I²C, USB and PWM functions.
  • The pinout includes TMDS data and clock signals, Hot Plug Detect, CEC, SCL/SDA with internal 10 kΩ pull-ups, USB D+/D-, BL_PWM and BL_EN.
  • Acceptable operating voltage: 4.75–5.25 V (nominal 5.00 V); input current should be at least 500 mA.
  • Output voltage is 3.1–3.5 V (nominal 3.3 V) and output current must not exceed 200 mA.
  • Operating temperature: -10 to 70 °C; storage temperature: -20 to 80 °C; operating humidity: 10–90% RH.
  • For the adapter board: use equal-length HDMI differential cables with 100 Ω ± 10% differential impedance, cable length under 5 inches, intra-pair length deviation within 20 mil (max 25 mil), place the ESD device near the HDMI socket, and make the 5V input trace wide enough (recommended > 30 mil).
  • If EDID fails, timing parameters can be set manually: pixel clock 49.00 MHz, H addressable 1024, H blanking 288, V addressable 600, V blanking 24, H front porch 48, H sync width 96, V front porch 3, V sync width 10.

Commands and examples – verify before use:

hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=87
hdmi_cvt 1024 600 60 6 0 0 0
hdmi_drive=1

Notes and version constraints

  • Power supply: input current must be at least 500 mA, otherwise startup failures or permanent damage may occur.
  • Output current must not exceed 200 mA; sustained overcurrent can damage the unit.
  • Voltage excursions (input > 5.25 V or output > 3.5 V) can cause irreversible damage.
  • Do not plug or unplug while powered; this can damage the display board or main control board.
  • Do not disassemble the display; removing it can damage sensitive parts and void the warranty.
  • Do not store the display for long periods in high-temperature, high-humidity environments.
  • Do not touch or rub the LCD surface with anything harder than HB pencil lead.
  • If the LCD is damaged: do not inhale or swallow liquid crystal; rinse skin contact with alcohol then water.
  • Mounting: the LCD face must not be installed parallel to the ground; for angled mounting, the rear-side angle to horizontal must stay below 75°.
  • Raspberry Pi: the resolution must be set manually via config.txt because it is not auto-detected.
  • Some PCs only recognize HDMI devices after a system restart.
  • Insufficient USB power can cause flickering; an external 5 V/1 A supply restores normal operation.
