Summary
The CM4-DUAL-ETH-MINI is a baseboard for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. It provides two gigabit Ethernet ports, one USB 2.0 port, a fan interface and a standard Raspberry Pi 40-pin GPIO header. The board is powered via a 5 V DC Type-C connector.

Technical overview
- Two RJ45 gigabit Ethernet ports: ETHERNET 0 uses the CM4's built-in network port; ETHERNET 1 is a PCIe expansion network port using the RTL8111H chip.
- The 40-pin GPIO header is for connecting various HAT modules.
- The Type-C connector can serve as a 5 V/2.5 A power supply or as an eMMC programming interface; the BOOT switch selects between USB Type-C (ON) and eMMC/Micro SD (OFF).
- A 5 V four-wire fan connector (SH1.0, 4P) supports speed measurement and regulation; only 5 V fans are supported.
- The micro SD card slot allows booting the Compute Module 4 Lite from a micro SD card.
- The SYSTEM switch controls EEPROM_WP (prevents EEPROM overwrite), WiFi_DIS and BT_DIS (relevant only for CM4 versions with antenna).
- PWR and SYS LEDs indicate power status and operating status respectively.
- USB 2.0 is disabled by default; enable it by adding 'dtoverlay=dwc2, dr_mode=host' to config.txt.
- Operating temperature range: -10 to 75 °C.
Commands and examples – verify before use:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install python-pip && sudo pip install RPi.GPIO

cd CM4-DUAL-ETH-MINI-Example/Driver && tar vjxf r8168-8.050.03.tar.bz2 && cd r8168-8.050.03 && sudo ./autorun.sh
Notes and version constraints
- Do not confuse: The source text contains placeholders such as {{{name3}}} and {{{userDefinedInfo}}}; these were ignored.
- No PoE support on this expansion board.
- When programming the image via the Type-C connector, do not connect other devices to ensure proper CM4 power supply.
- When using OpenWrt, no technical support is provided outside of hardware; only tutorials and images are available.
- If the I2C address of the RTC/fan controller cannot be found: check whether 'dtparam audio on' is blocked in /boot/config.txt and whether /boot/dt-blob.bin exists.
- When compiling the kernel, the driver kmod-r8169 must be added for the network card.
- Instructions in the source material apply only to the described hardware; other versions may differ.
