disable_touchscreen=1

Notes and version constraints

  • On Pi5/CM5/CM4/CM3+/CM3 there are two MIPI DSI interfaces; it must be ensured that the correct interface and matching dtoverlay commands are used – the default recommendation is DSI1
  • The configuration files mentioned in the source (config.txt, cmdline.txt) reside in the root directory of the TF card or under /boot/; changes only take effect after reboot
  • The wlr-randr command applies only to Labwc/Wayfire graphical interfaces; xset dpms force off only to X11
  • For Buster systems, a system update may overwrite previously installed driver files; the DSI driver then has to be reinstalled
  • When changing the board (e.g., from Pi4 to Pi3), the drivers must be reconfigured for the new board
  • Synchronous rotation of display and touch is only supported on Trixie/Bookworm; on Bullseye/Buster the touch rotation must be set manually and separately
  • All steps listed assume a working internet connection (e.g., for the manual driver installation path)
  • No information on price, availability, warranty or certifications is present in the source; these values were deliberately not included
