Notes and version constraints

  • Peak values cited in the source (e.g., 2.4 Gbps DL) are lab figures; real-world speed depends on distance to the base station, load, operator limits, and building attenuation – a stable 100 Mbps is not guaranteed.
  • Default credentials (IP 192.168.8.1, admin/admin) may have been changed by the operator; if access fails, hold Reset ~30 s until all LEDs light up, then wait for reboot.
  • Exact AT command lines are not individually listed in the source; only references to the 3GPP/V.25TER command sets are present.
  • The n79 band note applies, per the source, only to the SIM8202G-M2, not the SIM8200EA-M2 – verify version before expecting this band.
  • The DDNS example uses third-party Oray; other providers require their own configuration, which is not described here.
  • Serial pass-through requires an external TCP server (source gives 120.79.2.0 as an example); the user must configure their own server address.
