Summary
The LCD1602 RGB Module is a 16x2 character LCD with an I2C interface and adjustable RGB backlight. It operates at 3.3 V or 5 V and uses the AiP31068L driver and PCA9633 RGB control chip.

Technical overview
- Display: 16 columns × 2 rows (character LCD).
- Interface: I2C using only two signal wires (SDA/SCL); no extra hardware needed beyond the module's own I2C bus.
- Operating voltage: 3.3 V or 5 V; operating current ~26 mA at 5 V and ~13 mA at 3.3 V.
- Backlight: RGB, theoretically up to 16 M colors (256³) via the PCA9633 driver.
- Dimensions: module 87.0 × 32.0 × 13.0 mm; display window 64.5 × 16.0 mm.
- Pinout: VCC (3.3 V/5 V), GND, SDA, SCL.
- Raspberry Pi: enable I2C via `sudo raspi-config`, then reboot with `sudo reboot`.
- Wiring for Raspberry Pi: SDA → GPIO3 (BCM2835), SCL → GPIO5; VCC → 3.3 V, GND → GND.
- Pico: SDA → GP4, SCL → GP5; VCC → 3.3 V, GND → GND.
- Arduino: direct wiring of VCC, GND, SDA and SCL; install the library by unzipping into the Arduino IDE libraries folder or via “Include Library”.

Notes and version constraints
- Demo files are downloaded from an external URL; without network access in the sandbox they cannot be fetched.
- Per the source, the LCD’s I2C address cannot be changed; therefore two identical modules cannot be driven simultaneously with different content.
- If only the second line appears when running the Python demo, it may be a firmware incompatibility; use the provided firmware version.
- The Pico demo requires the correct firmware (e.g., rp2-pico-20220117-v1.18); otherwise the display may misbehave.
- Cable color may vary; connections should follow the pin definitions rather than cable color.
- The PH2.0 4-pin connector part numbers are not given in the source; contact the supplier for ordering information.
