Summary
The SIM7070G HAT connects a Raspberry Pi via the 40-pin GPIO header to cellular networks (NB-IoT, Cat-M, GPRS) and GNSS positioning. It supports global bands, MQTT/HTTP(S)/TCP/UDP, and AT commands over USB or UART.

Notes and version constraints
- The source contains inconsistent naming: several passages mistakenly refer to SIM7080G even though the product is the SIM7070G. Verify the correct model designation in all documents before use.
- On first power-on the module may hang; send AT commands repeatedly until OK is returned.
- Cellular network and GNSS positioning cannot be used simultaneously, according to the source.
- LTE-M or NB-IoT registration may be delayed depending on region; consult local carriers.
- TCP tests require mapping the LAN IP and router beforehand.
- GNSS tests require an open environment and an active antenna; optionally use u-center for locating.
- The provided Raspberry Pi example code references a path containing SIM7080G – verify before running whether the code actually matches the SIM7070G.
- Version-sensitive steps: The referenced application notes (e.g., AT Command Manual V1.02/V1.03, MQTT/HTTP/TCP notes) should be checked against the latest version, as command syntax can vary between versions.
