Summary
The nRF52840 Eval Kit is a Bluetooth 5.0 development board with an onboard nRF52840 core module, Arduino and Raspberry Pi compatible GPIO headers, USB-UART via CP2102, and an SWD debug port. It supports bare-metal peripheral demos (GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, NFC) and Bluetooth experiments including MESH.

Commands and examples – verify before use:
nrfjprog -v
Notes and version constraints
- Effective range depends heavily on environmental conditions; stated values are manufacturer claims without independent verification.
- JLink driver version must be ≥ V6.22, otherwise the tool will not recognize the debugger.
- Keil requires a license for projects exceeding 256 kB; without a license compilation is limited.
- Bluetooth MESH demos additionally require installing SEGGER Embedded Studio for ARM 4.10a.
- Some Bluetooth experiments use simulated data (e.g., heart rate, bicycle speed); real measurements require external sensors.
- The exact pin assignment of jumpers/solder joints should be verified against the schematic before modification.
