Notes and version constraints

  • Editing the hdmi_ parameters in config.txt is version-dependent; newer Raspberry Pi OS releases may use a different file layout – verify against current documentation before saving.
  • Long-press right-click emulation requires a 32-bit environment; 64-bit systems are not supported by default.
  • The PWM backlight experiment requires removing a transistor and soldering a PWM trace – intended for advanced users only.
  • VGA operation requires a separately purchased mini-HDMI-to-VGA cable; it is not included in the box.
  • The power supply specification (12 V/1 A, outer Ø 3.5 mm, inner Ø 1.35 mm) refers to the included adapter; any substitute must keep ripple within ±5 %.
  • In multi-monitor setups, setting this display as the primary screen is recommended; some PCs lack HDMI hot-plug support and may need a PC restart.
  • Automatic screen-off behavior depends on the OS; the official Raspberry Pi image blanks after roughly ten minutes of inactivity.
