Technical overview
- 7-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels
- Connects via the 40-pin GPIO header on the Raspberry Pi; driven through the DPI interface
- Supported operating systems: Raspberry Pi OS (Buster and Bullseye/Bookworm branches) and Ubuntu
- Hardware connection: The RGB LCD HAT is connected to JP1 on the 50P-to-40/50P adapter using a white FFC cable; the golden FPC cable from the LCD connects to JP2
- For the Bookworm/Bullseye branch, three dtoverlay entries are appended to /boot/config.txt and two dtbo files are placed in /boot/overlays
- For the Buster branch and Ubuntu, dpi_timings, dtoverlay=dpi24, enable_dpi_lcd=1, display_default_lcd=1, dpi_group=2, dpi_mode=87, dpi_output_format=0x6f005, hdmi_cvt 1024 600 60 6 0 0 0, and disable_overscan=1 are added to config.txt
- Display refresh rate is 60 Hz
- Operating current at 5 V supply: approximately 450 mA with backlight on and approximately 60 mA with backlight off
- The display does not support PWM brightness adjustment
- No touch input is built in; for touch functionality, other models such as the 7inch HDMI LCD (C) or 7inch HDMI LCD (resistive) are required

Notes and version constraints
- The exact dtbo file names must be confirmed before installation; the source only refers to them generically as "two dtbo files"
- VCOM voltage adjustment for abnormal displays is version-dependent and requires manual verification
- References to current Raspberry Pi OS changes may be outdated; actual behavior depends on the flashed image
- Touch functionality requires a different product; this model provides display only without touch input
- Current values assume a 5 V supply; deviations may occur depending on configuration
