Technical overview
- Resolution: 320 × 240 pixels
- Interface: SPI over the 40-pin GPIO header; the display has 26 pins
- Touch: Resistive film with an IRQ input (TP_IRQ), active low when pressed
- Connection: Direct plug-in on the Raspberry Pi GPIO header
- Operating voltage: 3.3 V and 5 V via the corresponding pin positions
- Reset signal (RST): reset triggered by low level
- Chip select: LCD_CS selects the LCD (low); TP_CS selects the touch panel (low)
- Data transfer: LCD_SI/TP_SI for data, LCD_SCK/TP_SCK as clock, TP_SCL for touch data
- Compatibility: Works with any Raspberry Pi model since the header plugs in directly
- Driver: FBCP software driver supports configurable resolution and dual-display operation

Notes and version constraints
- The calibration values in the example (3795 171 168 3913) are device-specific and must be re-measured on site.
- The config.txt configuration contains conflicting lines (hdmi_mode=1 and hdmi_mode=87); it must be confirmed which line is valid.
- The driver file name “Waveshare32b.zip” may vary by system version; download the latest version if issues occur.
- Automatic login requires the username to be “pi”; it will not work with other users.
- After applying the configurations, system restart takes longer and SSH needs a moment to become available.
- When powering the Pi through a PC USB port, insufficient power may prevent proper startup; recommended supply: 5 V / 2.5 A.
