Technical overview

  • Four extended USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, backward compatible with USB 3.2 / 2.0 / 1.1.
  • DC power via a round DC jack (5 V) or a 2-pin connector for stable supply to connected devices.
  • Each USB output delivers up to 2 A; total peak current across the four ports is 5 A when sufficient input power is provided.
  • LEDs: LED1–LED4 indicate successful enumeration of each USB device; a red PWR light indicates power supply, green LEDs identify USB interface usage.
  • Operating temperature range: -10 °C to 85 °C, no condensation allowed; the module is not waterproof.
  • The metal case includes mounting holes for easy installation, e.g., on a wall.
  • Driver-free and plug-and-play, compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux and Android.
  • When using the 2-pin power terminal, align the positive and negative poles as printed on the PCB.

Commands and examples – verify before use:

cd ../..
cd media/pi/xxx
sudo sh -c "sync && echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches"
dd if=/dev/zero of=./test_write count=2000 bs=1024k
dd if=./test_write of=/dev/null count=2000 bs=1024k
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install hdparm -y
sudo hdparm -tT /dev/sda*
ls /dev/sd*
while true; do sudo hdparm -t /dev/sda2; sleep 10; done

Notes and version constraints

  • Exact compatibility with specific Raspberry Pi models or Sunrise X3 PI versions is not fully specified in the source; verify before purchase.
  • The source contains placeholders such as {{{name2}}} through {{{name6}}} and {{{userDefinedInfo}}}; these fields must be filled manually.
  • Some modules require software configuration before LEDs light up; this is version-dependent.
  • Overloading a USB port (>1.2 A) triggers short-circuit protection; remove the device to recover.
  • The exact DC voltage specification varies between 7–36 V and 5 V depending on the source; verify the actual power supply.
