Summary
The USB-TO-LoRa-xF is a wireless data transfer module with a USB interface based on the Semtech SX1262 chip. It supports point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and relay networks over Sub-GHz frequency bands (410–490 MHz or 850–930 MHz) and provides AES encryption, LBT, RSSI output, and AT command configuration. At least two identical units are required to form a working LoRa network.

Technical overview
- Uses the original SX1262 chip with -148 dBm receiving sensitivity and +22 dBm transmit power.
- Supports preamble detection, CRC checking, automatic packetization, and a 960-byte buffer; the maximum data size of a single packet is 240 bytes.
- By default, the device operates in stream mode on the RS232/USB serial port at 115200 bps with no parity.
- The HF version defaults to channel 18 (corresponding to 868 MHz); the LF version defaults to channel 23 (corresponding to 433 MHz).
- Operating temperature range is 0–85 °C for the TCXO variant and 0–50 °C for the standard variant; humidity limit is 5–95 % relative humidity.
- To configure, send '+++' via keyboard to enter AT command mode; use 'AT+EXIT' to leave it.
- AES encryption can be enabled via the key parameter; the value range is 0–65535, where 0 means no encryption.
- Multi-level relay networks can be built to extend the wireless communication distance.

Notes and version constraints
- This product does not support LoRaWAN; it only works with the corresponding SX1262-LoRa-DTU-xF model.
- At least two identical units (e.g., two USB-TO-LoRa-HF or two USB-TO-LoRa-LF) are required to form a network.
- Do not press the button within 3 seconds after powering on; holding it for 2 seconds within that window enters firmware update mode.
- After the 3-second window has passed, holding the KEY button for 2 seconds restores factory settings.
- Faulty modules may require a firmware update; the associated tools and files must be obtained from the manufacturer.
- Exact channel mapping (0–80) depends on the selected frequency band and must be adjusted according to region.
- Encryption (AES) is optional and must be explicitly configured; the default value of 0 means no encryption.
