Technical overview

  • Resolution 1536×2048 pixels on an 8-inch IPS panel; viewing angle 178° in all directions.
  • Capacitive touch system with 10-point detection and toughened glass (hardness up to 6H); optical bonding improves display quality.
  • Interfaces: standard HDMI for video/audio and USB for the touch channel; power via a 5 V USB-C connector.
  • Electrical values: input voltage 4.75–5.25 V (standard 5.00 V), input current at least 750 mA (standard 800 mA).
  • Operating temperature range 0–60 °C; storage temperature range −10–70 °C.
  • EDID sequence parameters are listed in the source (pixel clock 295 MHz, H/V addressable 1536/2048, etc.) and apply only when the system does not auto-detect EDID.
  • Raspberry Pi 4B: HDMI connection plus USB touch; resolution must be set manually via /boot/config.txt.
  • Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11: plug-and-play via HDMI and USB; if USB power is insufficient, connect an external 5 V/1 A adapter to the power port.

Notes and version constraints

  • The exact version of Raspberry Pi OS, Ubuntu or Kali is not specified in the source; the described steps apply to the latest official image version.
  • On Windows, some PCs may not immediately detect HDMI plug-and-play; a system reboot may be required.
  • The touch rotation button is intentionally hidden inside the case to prevent accidental touches; it is pressed with a card or pin.
  • If the input voltage exceeds the maximum value or the current drops below 750 mA, the device may suffer permanent damage.
  • Avoid long-term storage in high-temperature, high-humidity environments; operation outside the stated temperature range can cause damage.
  • EDID parameters need to be set manually only if the system does not auto-detect EDID; otherwise this step is unnecessary.
