Technical overview
- Input voltage: 6–12.6 V; 12 V via the DC port (5.5 × 2.1 mm) is recommended.
- Servo mode allows 360° absolute angle control; motor mode enables continuous rotation.
- Position sensor resolution: 360°/4096 steps; serial interface baud rate: 1 Mbps.
- Up to 253 servos can be connected on the same bus; each servo reports position, load, speed and input-voltage feedback.
- ID range: 0–253; factory default ID is 1. Each ID must be unique per bus to avoid conflicts.
- Torque options: up to 30 kg·cm @ 12 V or 19.5 kg·cm @ 7.4 V depending on variant.
- Connector: 5264/2.54 3P; communication is half-duplex.
- High-resolution magnetic encoder provides precise absolute angle measurement without mechanical end stops.
Notes and version constraints
- When changing a servo ID, the EPROM area must be unlocked before saving; otherwise changes are lost after power cycling.
- Oversized mounting screws that contact the servo housing increase current draw significantly and can burn out the servo.
- Multiple servos on the same driver board must have unique IDs; the factory default (all ID 1) causes bus conflicts.
- The stated life figure (>100,000 cycles) comes from reliability testing; specific warranty or certification details are not provided in the source.
- The 7.4 V figure for the lower-torque variant should be verified against the datasheet before deployment.
