Notes and version constraints

  • Specific compatibility limitations for certain HDMI sources are not stated in the source; verify before deployment.
  • On Raspberry Pi, the effective frame rate can fall below 30 fps (measured ~22 fps at 1080p), depending on system version and performance.
  • If the HDMI signal remains black, check the connection between the adapter and the HDMI device, then re-activate the source.
  • Some SSH login environments may be incompatible with OBS on Raspberry Pi or produce very low frame rates; using a desktop terminal or VNC is recommended.
  • MJPEG is not supported by OBS on Raspberry Pi at this stage; use YU12 or YV12 instead.
  • Driver-free installation reliability across all supported OS versions should be confirmed before purchase.
