Technical overview

  • Supports 2G/3G/4G network connections and protocols such as TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, Multi-PDP, FTP/FTPS, HTTP/HTTPS/DNS.
  • Onboard USB port for direct connection to ARM/x86 hosts or industrial computers; onboard UART with hardware flow control for host boards like Arduino/STM32.
  • Nano SIM card slot; supports 1.8 V / 3 V nano-SIM cards.
  • Three LED indicators for monitoring operating status.
  • Baudrate support: 300 bps to 4 Mbps (default 115200 bps); auto-negotiation: 9600 to 115200 bps.
  • GPS use requires the SIM7600G-H variant; the GNSS antenna must be purchased separately.
  • Supported operating systems: Windows, Linux, Android; driver provided.
  • AT command set includes AT, ATE, AT+CGMI, AT+CGMM, AT+CGSN, AT+CSUB, AT+CGMR, AT+IPREX, AT+CRESET, AT+CSQ, AT+CPIN?, AT+COPS?, AT+CREG?, AT+CPSI?, AT+CNMP?.
  • On Raspberry Pi (Raspbian), three connection methods are available: RNDIS (simplest), PPP dial-up (simple), or wwan0 interface setup (more complex).

Notes and version constraints

  • The stated speeds (up to 150 Mbps downlink, 50 Mbps uplink) are theoretical maxima; actual speed depends on network coverage, time of day, and base station conditions.
  • GNSS functionality requires the SIM7600G-H variant and a separate GNSS antenna; the SIM7600CE-CNSE has no GPS function.
  • RNDIS dialing is not available on Windows 7; switch to NDIS dialing (mode 9001) instead.
  • When testing with audio devices, the device index number may vary by system; run the loopback test and adjust index parameters if issues arise.
  • If no NMEA output appears after enabling GPS, send the listed AT commands and restart the module.
  • Version-sensitive steps: driver installation, wwan0 setup, and DNS configuration may differ by OS version and kernel; human confirmation recommended.
