Technical overview
- Four USB-A output ports conforming to USB 2.0, data rate up to 480 Mbit/s.
- USB-B input for connection to a computer or SBC; plug-and-play without driver installation on supported operating systems.
- Input power via USB-B: 5 V; external DC jack for higher loads.
- Each port can supply up to 1.2 A when sufficient power is available; without an external power source over USB 2.0 only about 490 mA per port is possible.
- Protection circuits: over-voltage, over-current, short-circuit, over-temperature, reverse current, under-voltage lock-out, 8 kV ESD protection, and filtering.
- Red PWR LED indicates hub power; LED1–LED4 light when the corresponding USB port is successfully enumerated.
- Operating temperature range −40 °C to 85 °C, no condensation; the device is not waterproof.
- Industrial-grade metal enclosure with mounting holes for easy installation.
- Supported operating systems: Windows XP/7/8/8.1/10/11, macOS 8.6 or later, Linux kernel 2.4.20 or later.
Notes and version constraints
- The exact geometry of the DC barrel connector (outer/inner diameter) must be verified before purchasing a replacement power adapter.
- Without an external power supply, available output current is significantly reduced; an external 5 V / ≥4 A adapter is recommended for loads exceeding 1.2 A.
- The device is not waterproof; moisture may trigger protection circuits or cause damage.
- If the input voltage is too high, the protective circuit cuts off power directly.
- If the USB LEDs do not light: first check the correct power adapter and test the peripheral directly on another PC to rule out a faulty device.
