Technical overview

  • 15.6-inch IPS panel with 1920×1080 resolution and tempered glass cover.
  • Capacitive touch with 10-point detection; the touch panel is bonded to the display using double-sided tape.
  • Recognized as a USB device via the TOUCH port; the function is automatically detected on Windows.
  • HDMI video output and 3.5mm headphone/speaker jack for audio.
  • Multilingual OSD menu available; used e.g. for power control, brightness and contrast adjustment.
  • Supports various systems, e.g., Raspberry Pi OS, Ubuntu, Kali, RetroPie, as well as Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7.
  • For Raspberry Pi, add the lines hdmi_group=2, hdmi_mode=82 and hdmi_cvt 1920 1080 60 6 0 0 0 to config.txt.
  • Power is supplied via a 12V DC connector (recommended: 12V/1A adapter); the TOUCH port is usually connected to the host's USB port.
  • Brightness can be adjusted on Linux using ddcutil (DDC/CI).
  • For PC operation, it is recommended to set the LCD as the main monitor so the cursor can also be controlled on the main screen.

Commands and examples – verify before use:

hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=82
hdmi_cvt 1920 1080 60 6 0 0 0
sudo apt-get install ddcutil -y
sudo ddcutil detect
sudo ddcutil setvcp 10 <value>
disable_splash=1

Notes and version constraints

  • The exact power consumption (approx. 12V 340–500 mA) and the precise power supply specification (outer Ø 3.5 mm / inner Ø 1.35 mm) should be verified before purchase or operation with a suitable power adapter.
  • Installing the screen requires support elements; the mounting accessories mentioned in the wiki are not included in the kit.
  • When mounting at an angle, the angle between the back of the LCD and the horizontal must be at least 75°, otherwise the panel may fall off.
  • Some PCs do not support plug-and-play with HDMI devices; a system restart may be required.
  • The PWM backlight control procedure requires soldering work on the board (removing a transistor and soldering at the pad location). This should only be performed by experienced individuals.
  • According to the source, the long-press (right-click) function is supported only on 32-bit systems and is not supported by default on 64-bit systems.
