Notes and version constraints

  • When using the Bullseye branch, the default KMS driver must be replaced by the FKMS driver (dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d); the libcamera library does not support the FKMS driver – the Raspicam library must also be installed.
  • When multiple monitors are connected, the touch effect is applied to the main screen by default; assigning it to a secondary screen requires manual calibration.
  • Some PCs do not support HDMI hot-plug; restarting the PC can resolve the issue.
  • LCD flickering may be caused by insufficient power through the USB cable; connect an external 5 V/2 A supply to the DC port if needed.
  • A mini-HDMI-to-VGA cable must be purchased separately when using VGA input.
  • PWM backlight control requires removing a 22 Ω resistor and wiring the pad to GPIO 18; for Rev.4, rotate R7 by 180°.
  • Thickness and current figures come from the FAQ section and should be confirmed by a technician before use in an installation.
