The SIM7600E-H is a 4G module HAT for the Raspberry Pi with LTE Cat-4, 3G/2G fallback and integrated GNSS reception. It supports telephony, SMS, TCP/IP data transfer, and integration into embedded systems via UART or USB.

Technical overview

Notes and version constraints

  • Exact AT command details are only partially visible in the source; full documentation required.
  • New hardware version from H2 2021 includes changed circuit elements; behavior may differ on legacy units.
  • MMS is not supported according to the FAQ.
  • The reset pin was not brought out; restart only possible via AT+CRESET.
  • For firmware updates, the boot pad must be short-circuited – only applicable when the normal update path fails.
