Notes and version constraints

  • The maximum input current value in the datasheet is listed as 'TBD' – please confirm with Waveshare before purchase.
  • When used with Raspberry Pi, the resolution must be set manually in config.txt, otherwise the display may be incorrect.
  • If USB power is insufficient, the display will flicker; connect an external 5V/1A adapter to the power port.
  • EDID sequence parameters are only needed if the system cannot auto-detect the EDID.
  • Fully turning off the backlight or enabling PWM control requires soldering on the board – V1 and V2 versions differ in pad locations.
  • Avoid long-term storage in high-temperature, high-humidity environments.
  • The 4PIN speaker header requires a PH1.25 connector with wiring order + − − + and supports up to 2 × 2.3 W.
