Commands and examples – verify before use:

hdmi_force_hotplug=1
hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=87
hdmi_drive=1
hdmi_cvt 480 800 60 6 0 0 0
video=HDMI-A-1:400x1280M@60,rotate=90
display_rotate=1 #1: 90; 2: 180; 3: 270
xinput map-to-output <touch-ID> <HDMI-ID>
ENV{ID_INPUT_TOUCHSCREEN}=="1", ENV{LIBINPUT_CALIBRATION_MATRIX}="0 -1 1 1 0 0"
Option "CalibrationMatrix" "0 1 0 -1 0 1 0 0 1"

Notes and version constraints

  • The exact EDID timing values (pixel clock 30.60 MHz, etc.) only matter if the system cannot auto-detect EDID; if auto-detected, manual setup is unnecessary.
  • The config.txt commands must match the actual resolution; the source lists 480×800 but the rotation examples use 400×1280 – verify the correct value before applying.
  • When multiple monitors are connected, touch defaults to the main screen; remapping requires the xinput command manually.
  • Touch rotation calibration matrices differ by OS version (Bookworm vs. Bullseye/Buster); select the method matching your installed system.
  • The power supply must deliver at least 500 mA; insufficient current can cause boot failure or persistent display faults.
  • Prolonged storage in high-temperature/high-humidity environments should be avoided, as it may permanently damage the panel.
