Technical overview
- Resolution: 172 x 320 pixels; IPS type
- Supply voltage: 3.3 V or 5 V; supply and logic voltages must match
- Interface: 4-wire SPI; ST7789V3 supports RGB444/RGB565/RGB666 color formats
- Connection to Raspberry Pi via PH2.0 8-pin cable per pin mapping table
- Example programming for STM32F103RBT6 with provided pin mapping
- Arduino UNO pin mapping available
- SPI mode 0 (CPHA=0, CPOL=0) is commonly used
- Python demos run without additional library installation on Bookworm
Commands and examples – verify before use:
sudo raspi-config
sudo reboot
sudo ./main 1.47
sudo python3 1inch47_LCD_test.py
Notes and version constraints
- Pin mappings are device-specific; adapt them for other boards
- The FBCP porting replaces /boot/config.txt and /etc/rc.local - back them up first
- Version-sensitive steps: BCM2835/wiringPi are unavailable on Bookworm, only lgpio
- Maximum brightness 380 cd/m² and current draw 47 mA apply at 3.3 V only
