Technical overview

  • IPS panel with a hardware resolution of 1280×800 and a ten-point capacitive touch system.
  • Optically bonded panel and toughened glass rated up to 6H hardness.
  • The display is driven directly by the Raspberry Pi through its DSI interface, with a maximum refresh rate of 60 Hz.

Notes and version constraints

  • Manual driver installation requires a working internet connection on the Raspberry Pi.
  • After a system update on Buster, previously installed driver files may be overwritten; the driver must be reinstalled.
  • When changing the motherboard (e.g., from Pi4 to Pi3), the corresponding driver files must be reinstalled.
  • Synchronous rotation of display and touch is only supported on Trixie/Bookworm; on Bullseye/Buster, touch rotation must be configured separately.
  • The screen on/off command (wlr-randr) applies only to Labwc and Wayfire, not to X11.
  • The sleep command (xset dpms force off) applies only to X11, not to Labwc and Wayfire.
  • Adding disable_touchscreen=1 to config.txt takes effect only after a restart.
