Summary

The Solar Power Manager (B) is a solar power management module for 6–24 V solar panels. It charges its embedded 10000 mAh Li-Po battery via the solar panel or USB and provides a regulated 5 V/1 A output. MPPT and protection circuits ensure efficient, stable charging.

Technical overview

  • Supports 6–24 V solar panels; input via DC-002 jack or screw terminal.
  • Embedded 3.7 V 10000 mAh Li-Po battery; also a 14500 battery holder and PH2.0 connector for external 3.7 V Li-ion batteries.
  • Two 5 V outputs: pin header and USB port.
  • Onboard MPPT SET switch selects the input level setting to improve charging efficiency.
  • Multiple LEDs indicate battery capacity (LED1–LED4 depending on charge level).
  • Protection circuits guard against overcharge, over-discharge, reverse connection, overheating and overcurrent.
  • Operating temperature range: −40 °C to 85 °C.
  • Dimensions: 108.0 × 71.0 × 25.2 mm.
  • Fast-charge mode over TYPE-C only works if the power adapter supports fast charging.
  • Can be used to power SBCs such as Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano or Arduino.

Commands and examples – verify before use:

Notes and version constraints

  • Lithium batteries can cause fire, injury or property damage if misused; never place non-rechargeable cells in the holder.
  • Incorrect polarity or an unsuitable charger creates explosion risk.
  • Connecting multiple solar panels is not recommended; the charging current is limited to 2 A and total power should stay below 10 W.
  • Charging times depend heavily on environmental conditions; quoted values are from constant-voltage lab tests.
  • Changing the DIP switch requires opening the case and is version-sensitive – have the manufacturer confirm before proceeding.
