Technical overview

  • Resolution: 800×480, software-configurable.
  • Interfaces: USB, HDMI; VGA input requires a separate mini-HDMI-to-VGA cable.
  • Supported systems: Raspberry Pi OS, Ubuntu, Kali, Retropie; as a monitor, Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7.
  • Multi-language OSD menu for power management and brightness/contrast adjustment.
  • 3.5 mm audio jack supports HDMI audio output.
  • Operating current is about 400 mA at 5 V; refresh rate 60 Hz.
  • Buttons: Power toggles the display; Menu opens the OSD; direction buttons navigate; Exit also acts as Return inside the menu.
  • For Raspberry Pi operation, add hdmi_group=2, hdmi_mode=87, and hdmi_cvt 800 480 60 6 0 0 0 to /boot/config.txt.

Commands and examples – verify before use:

hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=87

sudo apt-get install xinput-calibrator
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-evdev
sudo cp -rf /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/45-evdev.conf
sudo reboot

Notes and version constraints

  • The source describes the device once as a resistive touch screen but titles it capacitive – please clarify which touch technology is actually installed before publication.
  • VGA operation requires a separately purchased cable; availability not guaranteed.
  • PWM control of the backlight requires a hardware modification (removing the soldered 22 Ω resistor); the manufacturer explicitly warns against damage from improper modifications.
  • Long-term operation without external power supply may be insufficient when additional high-power devices are connected; an external supply is required.
  • Calibration and driver installation steps are version-specific (e.g., specific Raspbian/Ubuntu versions); verify system version before executing.
  • Not all commands listed in the source are complete or unambiguous; missing context (e.g., {{{name2}}} entries) has been removed.
  • Anti-piracy/knock-off warnings and support contact details were omitted because they contain no technical instructions.
