Notes and version constraints

  • PWM backlight control requires removing a resistor on the board; the source states that unauthorized hardware modification is generally not recommended because it may void the warranty.
  • Only the Rev4.1 revision supports USB-based backlight adjustment; the method will not work on other revisions.
  • When multiple displays are connected, the LCD controls the cursor only on the primary display – set this LCD as the primary display.
  • Black shadows along the edges can be caused by the hdmi_drive setting; comment out the option and wait several minutes for the picture to fully recover.
  • The listed backlight scripts are version-specific (Bullseye vs. Bookworm); verify the running OS version before executing them.
  • The commands above were taken from supplier material; validate version compatibility on your own system before use.
