Technical overview

  • Sensor: DHT11
  • Operating voltage: 3.3 V to 5.5 V
  • Temperature resolution: 1 °C; accuracy: ±2 °C; range: 0 °C to 50 °C
  • Humidity resolution: 1 %RH; accuracy: ±5 %RH (0–50 °C); range: 20 %RH to 90 %RH (at 25 °C)
  • Recommended storage: 10 °C to 40 °C, humidity ≤ 60 %RH
  • Fixed hole size: 2.0 mm
  • Pinout: DOUT (digital output), GND, VCC
  • Raspberry Pi Pico: VCC to 3.3 V, GND to ground, DOUT to GP15
  • STM32 (example based on STM32F103RB): VCC to 3.3 V, GND to ground, DOUT to PA0
  • Arduino UNO: VCC to 5 V, GND to ground, DOUT to D2

Commands and examples – verify before use:

sudo apt-get install p7zip-full
cd ~
sudo wget https://files.waveshare.com/upload/4/4a/Temperature-Humidity-Sensor-code.7z
7z x Temperature-Humidity-Sensor-code.7z -o./Temperature-Humidity-Sensor-code
cd ~/Temperature-Humidity-Sensor-code/Pico/c/build
export PICO_SDK_PATH=../../pico-sdk
cmake ..
make -j9
cp main.uf2 /media/pi/RPI-RP2/
sudo apt upgrade thonny

Notes and version constraints

  • The STM32 examples are based on the STM32F103RBT6 and STM32H743; other STM32 boards require adjusting the hardware connection and porting the code.
  • The Arduino example is written specifically for the Arduino UNO; other boards may need modified connections.
  • Thonny must be up to date (v3.3.3 under Windows), as older versions lack Pico support.
  • The Pico SDK path may differ from the default; the export command must be adjusted accordingly.
  • The commands listed assume the specific directory structure and firmware described in the source; deviations require manual verification.
