== Technical overview ==
* Two variants: RS232 TO ETH (B) with a standard Ethernet port and RS232 TO POE ETH (B) with a PoE Ethernet port; software is identical for both.
* Serial interface: isolated RS232 port; baud rate 300 to 115200 bps, data bits 5 to 9, parity none/even/odd/mark/space, no flow control.
* Ethernet: RJ45 with 10/100 Mbps auto-negotiation and 2 kV surge protection.
* Power supply: screw terminal for DC 6–36 V; the PoE variant can also be powered through the Ethernet port.
* Operating temperature range −40 °C to +85 °C, relative humidity 5 % to 95 %.
* Dimensions: 87 × 36 × 59 mm (L × W × H); rail-mount case design.
* Protocols: ETHERNET, IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, ARP, ICMP, DHCP, DNS.
* Operating modes: TCP server, TCP client (coexisting with TCP server), UDP, and UDP multicast; up to 30 simultaneous connections as a TCP server and 7 destination IPs as a TCP client.
* Configuration via web browser or the DLL development library on the PC side; remote search, parameter changes, and firmware upgrades in the cloud are supported.
* Advanced functions: Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP gateway, MQTT gateway, JSON to Modbus RTU, HTTP GET/POST for data collection, NTP time synchronization, custom heartbeat and registration packets, TCP password authentication.

== Notes and version constraints ==
* The example test values mentioned in the source (e.g., IP 192.168.1.200, port 4196) are illustrative scenarios from the wiki and are not necessarily valid for every installation.
* The exact configuration of Modbus and MQTT parameters depends on the specific network environment and requires manual verification.
* Compatibility with existing serial devices must be checked per connection; the guide only gives general guidance.
* Firmware upgrades and cloud features require a reachable network connection; details on specific upgrade procedures are missing from the source material.
* PoE power delivery requires a compatible PoE network connection; the exact power requirements (802.3af class) are not further specified in the text.
