== Technical overview ==
* Four expanded USB output ports with a maximum speed of 5 Gbit/s; two switchable inputs allow sharing USB devices between two hosts.
* Industrial-grade hub chip; the USB 2.0 interface uses MTT technology.
* Each USB port includes ESD protection against surge damage and data loss.
* Over-voltage protection prevents high-voltage power inputs from damaging connected devices.
* Multiple protection circuits: over-voltage, over-current, short circuit, over-temperature, reverse current, under-voltage lock-out, 8 kV ESD protection.
* Industrial-grade metal case with mounting holes for easy installation.
* Input: DC power jack and round-hole power port accept 7–36 V; USB input allows only 5 V.
* Maximum output current per USB port is 1.2 A; exceeding this triggers short-circuit protection – remove the device to recover.
* Operating temperature range: -10 °C to 85 °C, no condensation; the module is not waterproof.
* LED1–LED4 indicate enumeration of each USB device: when a device is connected and enumerated successfully, the corresponding LED lights up; some modules require software enablement before the LED illuminates.
* Red PWR LED indicates power supply; green LEDs identify use of the USB interfaces.
* On Raspberry Pi: insert the module into the 40-pin GPIO header, connect via a USB 3.0 adapter, and attach 5 V power to the POWER ONLY port.
* In Ubuntu on Raspberry Pi: locate the disk in the menu, select the correct disk, choose “Benchmark Partition,” start the write benchmark, and keep default settings.
* On a Windows PC: connect the USB port to the PC’s USB 3.0 port to copy files to an SSD or connect four phones simultaneously.

'''Commands and examples – verify before use:'''
<syntaxhighlight lang="text">
cd ../..
cd media/pi/xxx
sudo sh -c "sync && echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches"
dd if=/dev/zero of=./test_write count=2000 bs=1024k
dd if=./test_write of=/dev/null count=2000 bs=1024k
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install hdparm -y
sudo hdparm -tT /dev/sda*
ls /dev/sd*
while true; do sudo hdparm -t /dev/sda2; sleep 10; done
</syntaxhighlight>

== Notes and version constraints ==
* The exact hdparm commands may vary by version; verify before running them.
* The path “media/pi/xxx” depends on the mounted drive name.
* On Raspberry Pi, the LED may only light after enabling the relevant software; this is device-specific.
* The module is not waterproof and must not be operated under condensation conditions.
* When short-circuit protection trips, the connected device must be physically removed to reset the protection.
