== Summary ==
The USB-HUB-7U extends a single USB connection into seven USB-A outputs conforming to USB 2.0 (up to 480 Mbps). It targets industrial environments with a rugged metal enclosure, integrated ESD and overvoltage protection, and LEDs indicating port status.

== Technical overview ==
* Interface standard: USB 2.0, theoretical transfer rate up to 480 Mbps.
* Input: USB-B port, operating voltage 5 V.
* Outputs: 7× USB-A ports, max output current per port 1.2 A when sufficient power is supplied.
* External power via DC supply terminal; shipped PSU is 5 V / 2 A – for heavier USB loads, a 5 V / at least 4 A supply is recommended.
* Enclosure: industrial metal case with mounting holes for easy installation.
* Protection circuits: over-voltage, over-current, short-circuit, over-temperature, reverse-current, under-voltage lock-out, 8 kV ESD, filtering.
* LEDs indicate the enumeration state of each USB port; they light up when a device is successfully enumerated.
* Operating temperature range: −40 °C to +85 °C, no condensation; not waterproof.
* Compatible operating systems: Mac OS 8.6+, Linux kernel 2.4.20+, Windows XP/7/8/8.1/10/11.
* Under overcurrent or short-circuit conditions the short-circuit protection activates; resetting requires removing the faulty device.

== Notes and version constraints ==
* No commands are specified in the source text.
* Exact enclosure dimensions are not fully given in the source.
* Not waterproof – use only in dry environments.
* If a port does not work, first check for short circuit, power supply, and driver availability.
* The bundled 5 V / 2 A supply may be insufficient when all 7 ports are heavily loaded; a higher-rated supply is recommended.
