== Technical overview ==
* Resolution 800 × 480; capacitive 5-point touch with toughened glass (up to 6H hardness)
* Camera: OV5647, 5 MP, 72.9° diagonal field of view, native resolution 2592 × 1944
* DSI connection: Pi 4B/3B+/3A+/3B/2B/B+/A+ use a 15-pin FPC cable; Pi 5/CM4/CM3+/CM3 use a 22-pin DSI-Cable-12cm on DSI1
* CSI camera cable: older models use a 15-pin FFC; Pi 5/CM4/CM3+/CM3 use a 22-pin Pi5-Camera-Cable on CSI0
* Power supplied through pogo pins; two 5 V outputs available for accessories such as cooling fans
* config.txt settings: dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d plus dtoverlay=vc4-kms-dsi-7inch (recommended DSI1); DSI0 only as alternative
* Backlight control: demo app (Bookworm/Bullseye only) or terminal command echo X | sudo tee /sys/class/backlight/*/brightness (X = 0–255)
* Display rotation: Bookworm syncs display and touch via “Screen Configuration”; older systems need extra touch rotation via xorg.conf.d
* Camera usage: raspicam/raspivid commands for still/video capture (e.g., raspicam -t 10000, raspivid -t 10000)
* Corner radius 8.88 mm; full-white brightness 300 cd/m²

== Notes and version constraints ==
* The source contains no information about price, availability, certifications, or warranty; therefore none were included.
* On Pi 5/CM4/CM3+/CM3 there are two MIPI DSI interfaces – the correct one (DSI1 recommended) must be manually verified.
* The update command “sudo rpi-update pulls/6050” is version-sensitive (kernel 6.6.20) and requires a backup before updating.
* The touch rotation matrix depends on the exact OS branch; if uncertain, a human should confirm the correct matrix.
* The camera commands raspicam/raspivid are OS-branch dependent; without knowing the exact system, the correct syntax cannot be stated with certainty.
