== Technical overview ==
* Compatible with Raspberry Pi 2B/3B/3B+/Zero W
* Supports NB-IoT, Cat-M, EDGE and GPRS across the global spectrum
* Connects via the Raspberry Pi's serial (UART) interface
* GNSS reception requires an external GPS antenna and clear sky visibility
* To access the NB-IoT network, set parameters CNMP=38, CMNB=2, and NBSC=1
* The device supports various protocols: MQTT, HTTP(S), FTP, NTP, PING, TCPIP, SSL, SAT, and FOTA
* Firmware can be updated using the 'sim7000 qdl v1.43' tool; administrator privileges are required
* There are two schematic versions: before May 1, 2021, and after

== Notes and version constraints ==
* Exact compatibility list for all Pi models must be confirmed by the manufacturer
* GPS data reception does not work on rainy days or without clear sky visibility
* PSM-mode power consumption was not fully explained in the source; measured ~700 uA vs theoretical 6 uA remains unexplained
* Firmware updates often fail due to poor USB cables or missing drivers; exact resolution steps require manual verification
* Compilation error of the BCM2835 library is resolved with 'autoreconf -vfi'; exact steps are version-sensitive
