== Technical overview ==
* The kit is based on the Jetson Nano 2GB Developer Kit; the board must be purchased separately.
* Batteries are not included due to shipping policy; four 18650 cells (3.7 V nominal, ~4.2 V when fully charged) are used.
* Software setup uses a pre-built JetRacer image (JetPack 4.5-based) written to a minimum 64 GB SD card via Etcher.
* WiFi configuration is done through JupyterLab at 192.168.55.1:8888 (default password: jetbot).
* After boot, the OLED displays the vehicle IP; connect via http://<jetson_ip_address>:8888 (login password: jetson).
* To limit power draw, set the Jetson Nano to 5W mode using: sudo nvpmodel -m1.
* Basic motion is controlled via car.steering (range [-1,1]) and car.throttle (range [-1,1]); car.steering_gain and car.steering_offset compensate for mechanical offsets.
* Teleoperation uses a gamepad receiver plugged into the PC (not the Jetson); axes[0] controls steering and axes[5] controls speed.
* For autonomous driving, collect data via teleoperation, then train with epochs=10 and evaluate the model.

'''Commands and examples – verify before use:'''
<syntaxhighlight lang="text">
sudo nmcli device wifi list
sudo nmcli device wifi connect <ssid_name> password <password>
ifconfig
sudo nvpmodel -m1
sudo nvpmodel -q
sudo systemctl restart nvargus-daemon
</syntaxhighlight>

== Notes and version constraints ==
* The Jetson Nano 2GB board is NOT included – purchase it separately.
* Batteries are not included; use unprotected 18650 cells without a protective plate.
* Due to the ESC, reversing requires a double-click of the accelerator stick to prevent accidental reverse during braking.
* If 'AttributeError: module torch has no attribute reciprocal_' occurs, manually install torch-1.2.0 and reboot the system.
* Steering offset values (e.g., 0.18) must be adjusted according to the actual mechanical assembly until the car drives straight.
* The 8.4V power adapter is only for charging batteries – do NOT connect it directly to the Jetson Nano board.
