== Summary ==
The Waveshare Pico-OLED-1.3 is a 1.3-inch OLED module for Raspberry Pi Pico/Pico 2 with a 64×128-pixel resolution. It uses an integrated SH1107 driver and communicates via 4-wire SPI or I²C. The module connects directly to the Pico's GPIO pins and can be driven from C, MicroPython, or Arduino environments.

== Technical overview ==
* Resolution 64 × 128 pixels; pixel size 0.15 × 0.15 mm; active display area 14.70 × 29.42 mm; outline dimensions 52.00 × 25.00 mm.
* Operating voltage 2.6 V to 5.5 V; current draw approximately 40 mA.
* Integrated SH1107 controller with 128×128-bit SRAM; the 1.3-inch module uses only half of the SRAM for 64×128.
* Interfaces: 4-wire SPI (default) and I²C. For I²C operation, a resistor on the back of the module must be modified.
* Pico pin mapping: VCC→VSYS, GND→GND, DIN(MOSI)→GP11, CLK(SCK)→GP10, CS→GP9, DC→GP8, RST→GP12.
* SPI timing: Mode 3 (CPOL=1, CPHA=1), data transmitted MSB first; the MISO pin is hidden on the module.
* Demo source code is downloaded as a .7z archive and compiled in a c/build directory using the Pico SDK via CMake.
* For MicroPython, the corresponding .uf2 firmware is copied to the Pico and Thonny IDE is used to run the .py examples.
* The C GUI library provides functions such as Paint_NewImage, Paint_SelectImage, Paint_SetRotate, and Paint_SetMirroring for drawing points, lines, and strings.
* For initial connection, hold the BOOTSET button while connecting the Pico via USB so it is recognized as a removable drive (RPI-RP2 or RP2350).

== Notes and version constraints ==
* The exact resistor modification for I²C operation is version-sensitive; consult the datasheet.
* The source contains placeholder variables ({{{name2}}} etc.) that were removed during copying; full configuration requires manual verification.
* Firmware filenames (e.g., rp2-pico-20210418-v1.15.uf2) are version-dependent; verify current firmware versions before use.
* COM port selection in the Arduino environment varies by system; correct port assignment requires local verification.
* No safety or certification information present in the source; no warranty or pricing details included.
