== Technical overview ==
* Compatible with Raspberry Pi 2B, 3B, 3B+, Zero and Zee according to the source.
* Supports Cat-M and NB-IoT network modes and is intended for Europe, Africa, Australia and Southeast Asia.
* Provides a UART interface to the Raspberry Pi and can be used over USB for PPP dial-up networking.
* Includes a GNSS receiver; obtaining GPS data requires an external antenna and clear sky visibility.
* Operating mode is configured through AT commands such as CNMP, CMNB and NBSC.
* For NB-IoT registration, the FAQ states that CNMP=38, CMNB=2 and NBSC=1 must be set.
* Has a PSM low-power mode; measured current may differ from the theoretical minimum value.
* Firmware updates require a good-quality USB cable, administrator privileges and the QDL tool.

== Notes and version constraints ==
* The compatibility list only names selected Pi models; other models are not confirmed.
* PSM values: The source gives no specific measured current or step-by-step confirmation of power consumption.
* Firmware update errors refer to the tool 'sim7000 qdl v1.43'; version sensitivity should be checked before updating.
* GPS data depend on weather conditions; position cannot be obtained during rain or without clear sky view.
* PPP dial-up is only described as possible over USB; exact configuration files or commands are missing from the source.
* Some source content consists of placeholders or incomplete answer fields; these points need human verification.
