== Summary ==
The 3.5-inch display is a resistive-touch LCD designed for the Raspberry Pi with a 480×320 resolution and an IPS panel. It connects directly to the Pi's GPIO header and supports SPI communication as well as the FBCP driver.

== Technical overview ==
* Resolution: 480 × 320 pixels; panel type: IPS with wide viewing angles.
* Connection: the 26-pin connector on the display side mates with the Raspberry Pi's 40-pin GPIO header.
* Power inputs: 3.3 V and 5 V rails; ground via multiple GND pins.
* Touch input: resistive touch with interrupt (TP_IRQ) and its own SPI bus (TP_SI, TP_SCL, TP_CS).
* LCD SPI bus: shared with the touch panel through common signals such as LCD_SCK/TP_SCK and LCD_CS/TP_CS.
* Driver support: official drivers are available for Raspberry Pi OS, Ubuntu, Kali, and Retropie.
* Versions: older versions use a different LCD; the new Rev2.0 is identified by the silk-screen printing on the back.
* Dimensions: the new Rev2.0 panel has different dimensions than the old one; exact values refer to manufacturer documentation.

== Notes and version constraints ==
* The calibration values in the example are illustrative; they must be adjusted individually before use.
* The driver must be downloaded and installed – without it the display will not function correctly.
* For issues with older system images: download the latest image from Waveshare or Raspberry Pi and install the current driver.
* Recommended power supply: 5 V / 2.5 A adapter; USB power may cause boot failures.
* Operating temperature range: commercial grade 0–70 °C.
* Normal operating current is approximately 150 mA.
* If the driver was installed without network access, touch may malfunction; adjust the boot file and reinstall after reconnecting.
* The auto-login process requires the username 'pi'.
* Reboots take longer after configuration; SSH availability is delayed accordingly.
