== Technical overview ==
* Processor used: STM32F205, dedicated to running the commercial algorithm and not available for secondary development.
* Sensor type: Optical fingerprint sensor.
* Interface: UART; default baud rate 19200.
* Serial communication requires a common-ground connection between the module and the PC.
* The MINI USB port is only for firmware updates and must remain disconnected during normal operation.
* The BL pin controls the backlight; the module can manage it automatically, so the pin usually stays unconnected.
* When capturing images on a host computer, set the baud rate to 9600.
* Power consumption: dynamic approx. 18 mA, static 0 mA.

== Notes and version constraints ==
* No specific commands or protocol values are provided in the source; a command list must be derived separately from the user manual.
* Exact firmware version and related compatibility limits are not specified.
* For connecting to a PC, using a matching Waveshare USB-to-UART module is recommended; selection depends on your setup.
* For errors such as 'mscom32.ocx', files must be copied to specific Windows folders depending on OS architecture and registered as administrator – each step requires manual verification.
* If new fingerprints are not recognized, the 'upload eigenvalue' option must be disabled, otherwise the values are stored only on the PC and not written into the module.
