== Summary ==
The CM4-NAS-Double-Deck is an all-in-one mini computer with NAS functionality for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. It targets home networks and small offices, offering a simple out-of-the-box solution that does not require expert knowledge of networking or storage systems.
== Technical overview ==
* Two HDMI outputs (HDMI0 and HDMI1) are provided; when using a DSI display, HDMI1 will have no image output.
* USB 2.0 is disabled by default to save power; enabling it requires adding 'dtoverlay=dwc2,dr_mode=host' to /boot/config.txt.
* An RTC chip (PCF85063A) is on I2C bus 1 at address 0x51 and is enabled via 'dtoverlay=i2c-rtc,pcf85063a'.
* Power is supplied through USB-C at a minimum of 5 V / 2 A; insufficient supply can cause automatic shutdowns or clock throttling.
* A fan demo reads CPU temperature and automatically adjusts the fan via a Python script approach.
* CSI and DSI interfaces are disabled by default; enabling them requires compiling a matching dt-blob file to /boot/dt-blob.bin.
* When a DSI display is used, HDMI1 output is permanently lost even if no DSI device is connected; deleting /boot/dt-blob.bin restores both HDMI outputs.
* For cameras under Bullseye, overlays such as 'dtoverlay=imx219,cam0' are used; older Buster systems instead rely on raspi-config.
* The PWR button (GPIO26) powers on the device with a short press when off, and forces a shutdown with a long press while running.
* The USER button (GPIO20) switches between different views of the example system during operation.

'''Commands and examples – verify before use:'''
sudo hwclock -s
sudo hwclock --set --date="9/8/2021 16:45:05
libcamera-hello -t 0
raspivid -o video.h264 -t 10000

== Notes and version constraints ==
* Power supply: Minimum 5 V / 2 A required – lower values may cause shutdowns.
* While programming via USB-C, no other devices should be connected.
* Short-pressing PWR while powered on only toggles the display; long-press forces shutdown.
* Using DSI permanently disables HDMI1 – this applies even when no DSI device is connected.
* Bullseye vs. Buster: Camera enablement differs by OS version; the correct configuration must match the installed OS version.
* RAID is not available by default on a freshly installed OpenMediaVault system; the 'openmediavault-md' plugin must be installed.
* Demo downloads reference external URLs; these steps cannot be executed without network access in the sandbox environment.
