== Technical overview ==
* HDMI input: compatible with HDMI 1.4b, DVI 1.0, and HDCP 1.4.
* Supported color formats: RGB444, YCbCr 422/444/420; color depths of 24-, 30-, and 36-bit.
* Maximum input resolution: 3840×2160 at 30 Hz (4K).
* USB output: supports YUV and JPEG modes; maximum output resolution 1920×1080 at 30 Hz (1080p).
* Compatible with the UVC 1.0 protocol and USB 1.1 mode.
* On PC, OBS is recommended; add the source as “Video Capture Device” and activate it.
* On Raspberry Pi 4B, the frame rate may drop to about 22–23 fps due to software and hardware limits.
* OBS on Raspberry Pi must be started with LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libGL.so.1 MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=3.3 obs.

'''Commands and examples – verify before use:'''
<syntaxhighlight lang="text">
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install obs-studio -y
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libGL.so.1 MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=3.3 obs
</syntaxhighlight>

== Notes and version constraints ==
* Specific compatibility limitations for certain HDMI sources are not stated in the source; verify before deployment.
* On Raspberry Pi, the effective frame rate can fall below 30 fps (measured ~22 fps at 1080p), depending on system version and performance.
* If the HDMI signal remains black, check the connection between the adapter and the HDMI device, then re-activate the source.
* Some SSH login environments may be incompatible with OBS on Raspberry Pi or produce very low frame rates; using a desktop terminal or VNC is recommended.
* MJPEG is not supported by OBS on Raspberry Pi at this stage; use YU12 or YV12 instead.
* Driver-free installation reliability across all supported OS versions should be confirmed before purchase.
