== Summary ==
The kit pairs the official 12 MP camera with a 6 mm fixed-focus wide-angle lens and a 4.3-inch DSI IPS touch screen used as the display for the Raspberry Pi 4.
== Technical overview ==
* Display: 4.3-inch DSI IPS, 800 × 480 pixels, toughened glass panel, 5-point touch, viewing angle up to 160°.
* Camera sensor: 12 MP, 4056 (H) × 3040 (V), output formats RAW12/10/8 and COMP8; CMOS diagonal 7.9 mm.
* Lens parameters: 6 mm fixed focus, 63° field of view, F1.2 aperture with manual adjustment possible.
* Hardware connections: DSI LCD connects via FFC cable to the Raspberry Pi DSI port; camera connects via CSI port; take care not to confuse CSI and DSI when wiring.
* Bullseye operation: In /boot/config.txt comment out “camera_auto_detect=1” and “dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d”, then add “dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d” and “start_x=1” under [all]; reboot afterwards.
* For Bullseye with a CSI camera, additionally install the Raspicam library (cmake, userland repository, buildme, copy to /bin); after that raspistill/raspivid can be used.
* Backlight control via sysfs: write a value 0–255 to /sys/class/backlight/rpi_backlight/brightness; alternatively use GPIO PWM on pin 18 with gpio commands, PWM value 0–1024.
* Disable touch: add “disable_touchscreen=1” at the end of config.txt.
* OS selection: For industrial use the more stable Buster branch is recommended; Bullseye uses libcamera by default and requires extra configuration.
* Camera detection: For non-official modules (OV9281, IMX290, IMX378, third-party IMX219/IMX477) set “camera_auto_detect=0” in config.txt and add the matching dtoverlay.

'''Commands and examples – verify before use:'''
<syntaxhighlight lang="text">
sudo raspi-config
sudo nano /boot/config.txt
echo 100 > /sys/class/backlight/rpi_backlight/brightness
sudo libcamera-hello -t 0
sudo raspistill -t 0
raspistill -o image.jpg
raspivid -o video.h264 -t 10000
</syntaxhighlight>

== Notes and version constraints ==
* The version of the installed Raspberry Pi OS determines which configuration steps are required (Buster vs. Bullseye).
* With Bullseye, libcamera may still contain bugs; according to the source, Python API usage is currently not supported.
* Exact power-consumption values (e.g., 450–500 mA for the Pi alone, 700–750 mA at maximum backlight) refer to specific test conditions and should be verified before field deployment.
* PWM backlight control requires soldering an external resistor; changing from 100 kΩ to 68 kΩ only affects fully turning off the backlight.
* All command names and path names are based on the provided source; manual verification of the local environment is recommended.
